About this item

A weighted throw for one person: six kilograms of fine glass beads sewn into fifteen-centimetre pockets, so the weight stays spread out instead of gathering at one end. It settles over you rather than pressing down, which is why people use it for reading, for the sofa in the evening and for sleep.

The cover is a linen and cotton blend in a sand colour, tied to the inner at the corners so nothing shifts, and it comes off for the washing machine. The inner is wiped, not washed.

    I was sceptical about the weight — six kilos sounded like a lot — but it settles over you rather than pressing. I sleep through the night more often than not now. The cover came off and went through the machine without any fuss.

    Lovely fabric and the weight is right for me. Four stars only because the courier took the full seven days and I had to ask twice on the phone where it was. The throw itself is faultless.

    Sits flat, the pockets keep the glass beads where they should be, and the sand colour goes with everything. Would buy a second for the sofa.

    the weighted throw is heavier than a normal blanket obviously but not in a bad way. i use it when reading. delivery was quick and i paid the courier, no card needed which i liked
